Leather twist-lock case for brushes

Overview

The project was created as part of a collection dedicated to professions and professional tools. The roll-up pencil case is suitable for artists, makeup artists, hairdressers – anyone who works with brushes and needs convenient storage and transportation. The main idea is simple and reliable organization of tools in a compact form.

Design Process

The pencil case is made of genuine leather, which guarantees durability during active use. It twists and is secured with a wide leather strap on a holniten, allowing you to adjust the diameter depending on the contents. A hinged visor at the top protects the contents from falling out and getting dirty.

To determine the optimal size and functionality, the length and diameter of brushes from various popular manufacturers were considered. Next, a paper prototype of the case was created, which was used to adjust the location and width of the pockets, as well as the convenience of filling. The final layout was sent to a technologist for refinement, taking into account the properties of natural leather and the sewing of the sample.
